The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America Presented the Nebula Awards for 2007 at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown in Austin, Texas on Saturday. The Andre Norton Award for Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy was awarded to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling.

Daniel Radcliffe spoke recently, between shooting scenes for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, about the the upcomng final HP installment Deathly Hallows. He said, "It will be very, very odd to suddenly not be coming back to Harry Potter. And I'll be sad to leave the character behind and not see on a daily basis the friends that I've made.

Serious booklovers will be turning their eyes to Christie's, the London auction house on Wednesday 19 March, for some real magic. Up for auction in the Fine Printed Books sale is Lot 106, a first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone published in 1997. It contains an additional treasure: a publisher's slip signed by the author, JK Rowling.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has spoken about her new boyfriend, after being photographed with him at the Empire Awards after-party. According to the Mirror, the 17-year-old actress said: "I'm really happy. I'm not sure if he is 'the one' just yet, we've only been going out together for three weeks, but it's brilliant at the moment. He is a friend of a friend.

David Yates won the best director award for "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" at Empire magazine's annual awards ceremony on Sunday. The Empire Award winners were chosen by readers of Empire magazine.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has apparently demanded a two-man SAS team to walk his dogs. The Harry Potter star, who has reportedly been given four bodyguards after he received a threat from an alleged stalker, is terrified his beloved pet collies Binka and Nugget will be kidnapped and killed, according to The Sun.

In papers filed for a lawsuit in Manhattan, J.K. Rowling says she feels betrayed by a fan, Steven Vander Ark, for his role in trying to publish an unauthorized reference work, "Harry Potter Lexicon." Rowling said she was especially irked that the site's owner and the lexicon's would-be publisher continued to insist that her acceptance of free, fan-based Web sites justified the efforts.

The final Nebula Awards ballot has been announced, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been nominated in the Young Adult category. The Nebula Awards are the second-highest-profile awards in fantasy & science fiction. This year's award ceremony will be on Saturday, April 26th.

Daniel Radcliffe star triumphed at the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Awards in London's Lyric Theatre. He was named the West End's Newcomer of the Year and his racy publicity shots, in which he posed naked with a horse and a semi-clad co-star, took the prize for Theatre Event of the Year.

Could it be that David Yates, who shot Order of the Phoenix and is in the middle of Half-Blood Prince, will be the last dirtector to leave his mark on the Harry Potter films? Children's writer Lois Lowry thinks so, as she wrote on her blog Tuesday, telling her fans that Yates had pulled out of shooting an adaptation of her book "The Giver" so that he can do "Deathly Hallows" instead.

Warner Brothers has refused to reveal the amount it has given to Gloucester Cathedral for the filming of Harry Potter. The production company has given a sum of money to the landmark to help revamp the historic building. But it is keeping tight-lipped about the amount. The venue was used as a film set for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last week.

Afshan Azad, who was born in Manchester, England on February 12, 1988, is 20 years old today. Afshan Azad plays Padma Patil in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. She was a big Harry Potter fan even before she joined the cast.

The stars came out for Harry Potter yesterday as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was brought to life again at Gloucester Cathedral. At about 10am Daniel and Rupert Grint arrived at the front of the Cathedral. A fleet of Mercedes and Lexus vehicles conveyed them with fellow stars Alan Rickman, Dame Maggie Smith and Tom Felton.
